hi there. my name is patricia mumau and i am a illustrator + calligrapher.
i studied illustration at the rhode island school of design in providence, ri, as well as the art of the afternoon nap with their european honors program in italy. i graduated and moved home to discover the inspirations of farm and family.
we have cows that we eat, goats that we milk, hens that lay us eggs in the morning, ducks that make a lot of noise, cats to chase the mice, a dog to chase the cats and the ducks, and some fish. lake ontario is a bike ride away and i like to take advantage of that fact.
every morning a cup of coffee and i take a walk to the studio//primele where i work with my sister rachel on calligraphy projects or new illustrations for the studio’s stationery line//fawnsberg.
